Old Souls Elspeth + Old Souls Dirk

Elspeth is on track to meet Impact Dam criteria and has produced fantastically for us. She is a top-notch mother with genetics proven for longevity and productivity. She is confirmed bred for a spring calf by Duncan II Faye-AAA (D). We have chosen to sell Elspeth because she makes handling all cows a bit more difficult while sorting in the corral pens and alleys due to her dominant character. We imagine she will be easier to work with if in a smaller herd (5-10 cows). She is not wild or aggressive -- she is docile, level-headed, and easy to work in the chute. Elspeth's domineering traits go completely unnoticed in the pasture. If we didn't work out herd in the corral as often as we do, Elspeth would be a keeper as far as we're concerned. 

Elspeth's calf is Old Souls Dirk (registration pending), a red, bull calf born 05/15/24. He is the likely product of WFF Jordan's Buddy, though possibly WFF Henry (D) or Old Souls Lochaber. DNA test will confirm. See our herdbook for more information on all of these bulls.

Duncan II of Faye-AAA (D) - AHCA Reg. No. 58837. Duncan's dam, LEA Faye (D), was the dam of the famous national champion Finley Falls Duncan (D). Duncan II is also a heavy, deep-bodied, dun bull who has a great temperament, excellent feet, a proven breeding history with Great Scots Highland Ranch out of Washington. He's the type of bull that will add value to any herd.

Dam: JUB Big Michele – AHCA Reg. No. 52386, Old Souls Farm. JUB Big Michele has proven herself to be quite productive - she went from having an October calf to a May calf in only 3 calving cycles. That's two calves in 10 month intervals, two years in a row! She has a great maternal instinct and a flawless utter and feet. 

Sire: HSH Red's MoJo (D) - AHCA Reg. No. 55713, East Fork Ranch. This mellow, moderate-framed, dun bull will come when called for and loves a good brushing. He produced lots of quality calves for us in the past.
